November 01, 2022 by Sarah Miller

Set up your unit with one-pager notes! Give your students one page to reference all the things they need to know about the region you’re studying! These one-pager notes are aligned to Georgia’s Standards of Excellence and include the answer keys!

This student notes set is perfect for middle school classrooms! You can use this to kick off your unit or just for an overall review at the end.

This notes packet includes one set of notes pages for Latin America, Europe, Canada, and Australia.

Details Covered in the Notes:

Details Covered in the Notes: All aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence.

  1. History

  2. Mapping/Geography

  3. Languages (for those that apply)

  4. Religions (for those that apply)

  5. Environmental Issues

  7. Economic Continuum

  8. Trade Barriers

  9. Currency (for those that apply)

  10. Economic Growth Factors

These notes are a great way to keep your students’ notebooks organized. All the important information about the region can be found in one central location.

Some ideas for using this notes set packet in your classroom:

  1. Warm-up/Bell-Ringer/Activator: Split up the prompts, and use one section of the notes as an activating strategy. You can sprinkle them in throughout the year, then students can reference as the year progresses.

  2. Part of spiral review for ongoing learning: sprinkle regional information with your other content throughout the year, so the information stays fresh

  3. Independent Work: Have students complete the pages independently during quiet time

  4. Small groups/partners: Have students complete some of the pages with a partner (or a combination of partners and independent)

  5. Station: When you’re doing stations/centers for another concept, add in a “Catch-Up-On-Your-Notes” station. Use this notes set as a station.

  6. Homework: Give sections as homework to avoid neglecting social studies in your other-content-area classroom.

My print-and-go 6th Grade One-Pager Notes Set includes all the pages you see in the images above. I created this knowing you are super busy, so it is NO PREP. Click here to purchase the complete One-Pager Notes Set.
