End of Year Activity for Big Kids

March 27, 2023 by Sarah Miller

End your school year with a fun end-of-year reflection activity! The end of the year is such a bittersweet time! It's so great to see how much your kiddos have grown, but it's also the time of mountains of paperwork and chores! Give yourself permission to multitask by assigning this activity to Google Classroom! You'll get a cute, personalized, and creative reflection of each student's year without doing a thing except pushing assign!

This digital school year reflection activity is perfect for middle school or upper elementary classrooms! You can even have students share their special moments with one another!

This activity includes 8 reflection prompts.

Included:

Included:

  1. My Faves: 8 favorites to describe

  2. My Playlist: 3 songs that connect to this school year with an explanation

  3. My Memories: top 3 memories

  4. My BFF’s Biography: biography about student’s best friend

  5. My Advice: Give advice to next year’s students

  6. Thank-You Letter: write a thank-you letter to someone who made an impact on you this school year

  7. Next Year’s Goals: 2 goals for next year

  8. Future Self: description of student’s life 20 years from now

This digital activity can be used in so many different ways! You can adjust it to fit your classroom.

Some ideas for using this end of year reflection activity in your classroom:

  1. Warm-up/Bell-Ringer/Activator: Split up the prompts, and use one slide as an activating strategy. You can sprinkle them in throughout the week.

  2. Independent Work: Have students complete the pages independently during quiet time

  3. Station: When you’re doing stations/centers for another concept, add in a “Map and Globe” station. Use this coloring activity as a station.

My digital end of school year activity includes all the slides you see in the images above. I created this knowing you are super busy, so it is NO PREP. Click here to purchase the complete digital end of year reflection activity.
